A little about me; I am married to my high school sweetheart, have 2 amazing kids that also drive me crazy along with a boxer who does the same! lol!
I struggled with my weight my whole life and after having my daughter I knew it was time to make a change!
Tired of being tired and over weight I looked into sourcing healthier recipes for me and my family. I literally educated myself and it felt empowering! I also found a love for cooking and sharing what I learned with others to help those who struggle with eating healthy and keeping fit as well.
Being a Jersey girl, it can be easy to find fresh local fruits and veggies while in season. I mean we are called The Garden State! I cook with the seasons for the best quality and money.

Hello! Welcome to My Fit Life!!
I’m Cherise and while on my own journey to losing weight and keeping fit I discovered my love of creating healthy recipes to share with you that taste great and are no fuss! I strive to keep ingredients simple, organic and locally sourced when possible.
Along with with my love of cooking I am a ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and teach classes often. I also have a Personal Training Certification. I enjoy yoga, running and reading. Rarely a day goes by that me or my family are not active. It is not just about eating healthy, it is about being healthy and involving your family as well.

Like most of these days we are busy, busy, busy so I like to create recipes that have simple, fewer ingredients but also are healthy and of course family friendly.
I have a major sweet tooth and I embrace it with my healthy treat options! You will see my sweet treats call for almond or coconut flour and are sweetened with honey or maple syrup. I stay clear of white sugars and refined white flours as much as possible. Yes, I still enjoy pasta from time to time but if I am going to enjoy my weekly treats I go for the healthy version! And yes - they taste just as yummy!
